Island Mode
Low-bandwidth mode with queued drafts, resumable uploads, and a text-first dashboard.
Island Mode turns on from Settings or the header, and it can switch on by itself when the browser is saving data or the connection is 2g or 3g. You can keep it on or off. Drafts and scheduled posts wait on this device and send when the signal returns, with a queued or synced status. Composer uploads can pause, resume, and retry, and the original file is what gets stored. In Island Mode, image previews and derivatives are compressed on the device. The dashboard drops charts and heavy photos, and a meter on this device estimates data used this month. Install the app from the banner. Web push appears only when a public key is configured, and it does not send email.
